A lot of you probably knew this was coming eventually, but didn't know when. Well, here it is. The introduction of the gnome from Episode 2. Complete with Alyx's ability to resist all forms of damage (that Barney didn't seem to have in that one city segment from HL2) minus the unlimited supply of ammo. It always annoyed me when teammates in a game are immortal, but never seem to actually do anything when you really need them to. Especially if it's one of the Call of Duty games on Veteran difficulty.

Indestructible, retarded, unhelpful teammates sure beat escort missions with retarded, unhelpful, bullet attracting teammates that die if a fly lands on them.

Definitely unhelpful. Have you ever tried the little rocket man acheivement? I swear, the helicopter AIMS for the gnome.

A sidekick? Possible named Trey? Methinks we have witnessed the creation of a storyarch/tie in!

@stuart I agree. ESPESCIALLY if you're one of the few people who try to play VIP in CS. Horrible...

Just so you know playing Episode 1 on Hard Alyx can be killed.
It was pain in the ass seeing her die 5 times trying to get thru the antlion parking lot.

And she seems to be regenerating health after she's out of battle so she does not need med kits.

So she is not invulnerable she can be killed.

I did the Rocket Man achievement in 5 hours xP
I think that EVERYONE aims at the gnome and transpoting it in the car is pain in ass, why cant Alyx hold it big grin

The best thing about invulnerable NPC's is their application as a nifty shield in a pinch.

Actually,Alyx IS vulnearable to any kind of damage, you just cant manage to kill him yourself, only your enemies can. After the second turret standoff when ur fighting Combine when they turn the lights off she died a couple of times there, even on easy.
